ALICE PAULINE SCHAFER Illustration Collection A Registrar at the Albany Institute of History and Art in New York, Schafer was known for her printmaking, and pen and ink skills; and she frequently depicted children in her prints and illustrations in watercolor and colored pencil. Her work and commissions were primarily in Albany where she was active in the local art clubs. She was a member of the Albany Print Club, the National Association of Women Artists and the American Artists Professional League. She exhibited at the National Academy of Design, National Association of Women Artists, Society of Independent Artists and other professional venues. A Sampling of Her Children's Book Illustrations
